Sound and measurements

All sound is synthesized on the spot with your browser's Web Audio, and the microphone is never used. Results such as measured frequencies and button-press times are not sent to any server.

Browser storage

Recent attempts (up to 60), the theme, your volume/ear/waveform/speed settings and the last tone frequency are saved in this device's localStorage. Whether you have passed the volume safety prompt is saved in sessionStorage and disappears when you close the browser. You can delete everything at any time with 'Clear history' on the results screen or in your browser settings.

Ads and cookies

Kakao AdFit ads may be shown to support the site. Ad providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, which are governed by those providers' privacy policies.

Offline cache

For faster return visits, a service worker caches only static files such as styles and scripts. Measurement history is never cached.
